Vroom Vroom

Ahhhhh summer is over for me...work has picked up and things will be super busy for the next 3 weeks!  I am looking forward to it but I will miss having down time to craft!  But I'm sure I will have to sneak some time in there somewhere...I will need to or I might go crazy :)  And believe me no one will want Crazy Sarah.

I was checking up on some of my bloggin' faves and I see there is a fun challenge at Cricut 360.  The challenge they have presented this week is transportation.  I wasn't sure what I wanted to do so I pulled out my Gypsy and decided to use Chore Chart again-- love this chart! I'm still waiting to find a Walmart that have these carts for $15-- guess I'm not one of the lucky ones!  But anyway--I used this card along with some fun arrowed paper from American Crafts to whip this baby up.  And the twine...yep had to use some twine.  The Twinery has released 3 new colors and they go on sale tomorrow-- I will soooo be ordering :)

Let's Go Camping...

Oh dear my mailman is getting sooooo tired of me asking him since Monday--ummm do you have my Scrappy Moms Stamps with you today... I am crossing my arms, fingers, toes and legs in hopes that those babies are in the mail tomorrow :)  But I shall be patient...hmmm not really sure I am capable of that but we shall see.

Last night my DH treated me to a new cartridge!  Campin' Critters---I think he thought I was kidding when I said..."I have to have this cartridge."  He looked and me like I was speaking a different language...as he knows as well as most of you that I don't camp...don't really even do the outdoors!  But I had to have this cartridge :)

So I had to play along at Scrappy Moms Stamps Challenge this week.  The challenge was to use the Campin' Critters or the Nifty Fifties cartridge--and wowzers I do love both of these carts but I did pick my new one!  Love it!  I also added some twine of course.  Oh and I tried some Creative Memories cardstock-- I was very impressed with how well it cuts with the Cricut-- very nice cuts and smooth edges.

Hay...Neigh-bor!

Ahhh the joys of a pun!  Nothing says Sarah quite like a pun and I am sure glad there are tons of stamp creators out there that love the pun as well (well perhaps I could limit my collection of pun stamps...but what's the fun in that?)

I have created this card for the M.A.G Challenge and it was to use page 59 from the Create A Critter cartridge-- I am afraid my CAC was crying a bit as I had used it ALL the time just weeks ago and for some reason it has not been my go to cartridge--I've really been "trying" to use all of my cartridges and not just my faves!  I think I've been doing a fine job :)

So I hope you enjoy my card.  The DSP I believe is from Reminisce--I need to be way better at remembering my paper-- I only say that because I'm the annoying person who always falls in love with paper on someone's blog and then asks where it's from, etc.  Hmmm sure glad no-one has been doing that asking of me--guess I better watch it :)

Life Is Too Short To Match Socks!

Love this stamp from Unity it's real name is "Matching Socks"  stinkin' cute.  I feel like my crafting has turned into one big ole pun!  But ya know what I'm okay with it.  I had to have this set and I'm pretty sure it was meant to be as it was the last one at my local craft store-- I had meant to add it to my order a couple of weeks ago but I must not have put it in the cart.  But alas on to my card.  I will be linking it up with the other creative cards that can be seen at Unity!  Today is Friday and that's a good thing at Unity...not only is it the weekend...it's also Friends With Flair--I've only joined once as I often forget to use my stamps --so I let my cricut rest and came up with this card!  Hope you enjoy!

You're A Lifesaver

Does a friend ever call you just when you need it?  Almost like you're thinking...hmmm I really need to talk and all of a sudden...ring ring!  I love when that happens.  I swear my bestie just knows when to call me!  Heck she's probably checked my blog and knew I'd been crafting like a mad woman so she knew something was up!  Ahhhhh nothing like a great friend to make your day :)

I am still madly in love with Scrappy Moms Stamps! and this sentiment is again from their "Quirky Quotes" set--which is brand new and I highly recommend that you check it!  This set was just highlighted on the FCCB blog for SMS being an amazing sponsort!  I highly recommend you checking out their stamps...I know I'm off to place an order so I can get some more of their lovies in my hot little hands.

Ahhh Ketchup

I just knew I had to have the "Food For Thought" stamp set from K Andrew Designs as my husband is obsessed with ketchup...I swear we go through more bottles of ketchup in a month than my family ever went through in a year--and I like to think I enjoy ketchup...hmmm maybe I don't :)  Once this stamp set arrived I knew just the thing to make with it and it worked out because Kristal is hosting a Food For Thought Challenge over at her blog!  So I will be entering my card in her challenge!  I hope you enjoy it.  I would highly recommend the Cricut Lite Block Party cartridge--I can't believe how many great cuts are on it-- I know they are on sale at Walmarts from what I have "heard" in the blog world!  Well I am off to find some more ketchup stamps :)  Have a great Wednesday!

Ahhhh I have the day off...what a great feeling.  I slept in... went to get a haircut and now I'm surfing my favorite blogs :)  What a great day!  I stopped over at Unity to check and see what the challenge for the month is and it's circles!  I had a good time making this card and used some new paper that I picked up that coordinates with the stamp set!  Love it.

ICE CREAM!!!

It's time for another challenge with the lovely ladies at Fantabulous Cricut!  This week we are screaming for ice cream!  We would love to see you make a project with a cool treat on it!  Just a reminder we'd love to see your creations--so link up those cool projects!!!

My ice cream is from the Nifty Fifties cartridge---just the thing for a warm icky day a nice milk shake.  I did cut off the straw from this cut as I just couldn't get it to look right.  I had the paper in my stash and that became the base for my color selection-- apparently I am obsessed with twine and polka dots.

Wishing You Many Mower!

Today at Fantabulous Cricut for the Spotlight Sunday FCCB is featuring a fabulous sponsor: Scrappy Moms Stamps!!!!

Wow...let me tell you...again...I think I might be in LOVE!  These stamps are fabulous.  I love the set I used for my card today-- "Quirky Quotes"  it has so many great sayings!  I had a hard time deciding which sentiment to select!  I did however select this one- this card will soon be in the hands of my Father-In-Law...pending he can rip himself away from his perfectly manicured lawn.  I was pretty sure when my parents met my husbands parents for the first time that my FIL was likely to have been out in the lawn with a scissors making sure he didn't miss anything!

I finally did it...

I ordered some twine...it arrived on Tuesday and tonight I was finally brave enough to cut it!  I fear I am going to run out as I only placed the order for the sample sizes-- I mean really do I need the large cones??? Hmmm probably not but it did take some bravery to make the actual cut.  I placed my order for the twine from The Twinery the shipping was quick and I really like how it feels.  I also picked up some from my my local craft store that is made by Jillibean Soup and that is the bright green I used for this card and the other colors are from The Twinery.

Entered in the Birthday Sundaes Challenge which was to use the colors: orange, green and white!

A Camping We Will Go...

Okay...so I hope you are here to join me for the Fantabulous Cricut challenge this week and not because you knew I was lying when I said "A camping we will go."  As most of you probably don't know... I don't camp... I don't really even do the outdoors--while I find being outside to be fine and I'd love to lounge by a pool with a cool drink in my hand... I don't do bugs.    My idea of camping is the poolside room at the Holiday Inn (or insert any other hotel!)

But alas I decided to go camping with my friends at FCCB.  This week were are going camping.  I have been camping... even the dig a hole and pee in it kinda camping and I enjoyed it--but that was when I was young and foolish!  I hope you decide to join us--no matter what kind of camping you like...or don't like ;)  So please join us with your outdoor themed project!  And please remember to include atleast one cricut cut!!

Take Me Out to the Ball Game...

Ah so some friends invited us to a Twin's game and we had a blast...even though the Twin's were defeated by A LOT!  But we had a great time anyway!  Lots of laughs were had.  I do really love the new punch I used for this card--it's really quite fun.  I did also use the Boy Will Be Boys cartridge--which has a ton of fun chunky cuts--which I really like. Here's to hoping you all have a wonderful Sunday!

Cheers To You!

I hope you're all having a lovely Saturday.  I had a great day!  I met a new friend from the blog world today and she was so much fun to chat with!  I am sure she and I will meet up for coffee again sometime soon!  I picked up some new craft goodies today-- I "needed" a little fix. I was finally able to get my hands on some of the Viva Decor Pens--but of course I didn't bust them open yet because I just wasn't sure how to make them work on this card.  This card is for my Brother-in-Laws birthday!  He better like it :)  Ha!  I am entering this in the challenge at Cooking With Cricut as they are having an "Anything Goes" challenge!  Have a great Saturday!

Ring Ring!

Hello!  Hi everyone.  I hope you're having a nice evening.  Things are quiet here and I am enjoying it greatly-- this weekend is going to be a busy one for me at work--so I'm savoring the peace and quiet.  I decided to peak in at My Creative Time and they are having a challenge.  The challenge is to use either the Wild Card or Just Because Cards cartridge and to add some embossing.  I cut my phone shaped card from the Wild Card cartridge and added some random babbles from my stash.  I am also entering this in the challenge over at More Than Favors and the challenge they have going on right now is to use the Wild Card cartridge!  Enjoy :)

You're The Cats Meow!

Ahhhh yet another punny card!  Love it.  Of course you can see I "had" to use my twine again...one of these days I promise I am gonna break down and order some more colors.  So tell me friends--where do you order your twine from??  Only tell me if you love the quality and colors please :)

I created this card for some friends that we stayed with in the Chicago area and we had a blast spending a few days with them and I miss them soooo much already!  I wish we were closer.  They have a crazy cat-dog...a cat-dog because he's a cat but I swear he acts more like a dog!  But he's gray therefore the model for this card!  The cat was cut from a lite cartridge called "Chore Chart"--love it!!  I will likely never use the chart but the other cuts are awesome!  I used my good ole flock on this card-- I tried a new brand of flock and I am quite impressed--but it was on clearance at M's and from Martha so I'm guessing it will no longer be available.  Hope you enjoy!
